There are,of course, dozens of boost pedals on the market, some of them excellent and some not so great.
If you’re looking for a boost pedal that is dynamic, touch sensitive, plays well with other pedals in your signal chain and adds just a little grit when pushed hard, this is as good as it gets.
I run mine last in a relatively simple chain with a reverb/tremolo pedal first, followed by an overdrive and then the Bad Bob.
For single coil players this seems to be tailor made for Tele players and it also works well with acoustic instruments, fattening the sound and adding sparkle.
Basically if you are happy with your tone, this is the,”more!” button.
I dig it.

Fantastic boost pedal! Huge, full sound. It bumped a different boost pedal off my board. The Bad Bob will be on my board now for many years to come. Thanks Mike.

5 of 5 Fantastic! Perfect for my Tweed Deluxe January 16, 2020

I'm sorry I waited so long to get one! It's one of those pedals where you turn it on for the first time, play a big chord and it already puts a smile on your face. I think this circuit is totally underrated. Mike should start adding it to more pedals! Beano + Bad Bob. Even KoT!!!

I wanted originally to do the Beano as I wanted to Boost my King of Tone and/or a super clean straight to Dirt boost.
I emailed Mike and he suggested the Bad ass Bob.
It’s perfect. When I want a little snot in an effect or a fuzz gone beserk, Bobby is there.
Works well with my Eventide H9 and my Strymon Effects.

I tried this into a tweed Bassman set to clean,  either with HB or a tele, it electrifies the sound and gives it "more"    its a totally deadly pedal    You gotta play with the output because there are different shades of boost there...    definatley a great booster for sure   Love mine and glad I got one!   i can see and understand 'the hype"   Thanks Mike

5 of 5 Bad Bob Boost makes your guitar more. Just, more May 16, 2017

That's right, whatever your axe brings to the table on its own. My BBB mini is a delightful thing. The official product description seams to bear scrutiny. But, in my experience, "more" is the only description needed.
Honest to jeebus, the musicality and tonal nuance Mike can extract from even the most humble of rigs,  just thru his manipulating microscopic amounts of direct current electricity, could reasonably get him burned at the stake as a heretical witch in more than a few parts of the world.
Yes, it's $150 for a Twix sized box with one knob. But, value = price divided by frequency of use over time. That economic truth makes the B^3 mini the cheapest pedal I've ever owned by a very wide margin.
