5 of 5 More fuzz than a moldy....peppermint? September 9, 2010
Reviewer: Brian Ball from Methuen, MA United States
I've owned the fuzz factory, Supa Fuzz, Wooly Mammoth, Fuzz face....you name it. The peppermint fuzz is the most inspiring fuzz I've ever played. Great sound quality aside ( a given with analogman pedals) this pedal is capable of the whacked out sounds a lot of people buy a fuzz factory for. But without the obsurd feedback or need for a 'gate' control. It also cops all the sounds familiar to its namesake. This will be a pedal I keep for life. I like to misuse the bias and see how different I can get it to sound through delays etc, sound also seems to change with temp. Want to know how great this pedal sounds? Listen to The Black Keys or White Stripes, Jack and Dan BOTH use it :0). Kudos Mike!

5 of 5 Dark Peppermint Fuzz April 24, 2010
Reviewer: Jonathan Gifford from Virginia Beach, VA United States
This is a fantastic and rather simple pedal. I keep the volume up pretty high, the fuzz rolled back just a bit and the buzz knob at about 2 o'clock. This is a great pedal. It is NOT a run-of-the-mill fuzz face-type pedal that will roll back into a clean sound; this is a very buzzy poppy sound that can best be described as kind of a grinding sound and has a lot of gain, sort of like a fuzz-face and big muff love child, but with more dynamics. With the Buzz all the way up you get some really interesting tones, and while you can get some sitar type sounds, they are not as pronounced as the red peppermint fuzz. I didn't have much to go on as far as sound samples, but I took a chance anyway and cannot express how pleased I am with this pedal. If you are a fan of fuzz sounds or want something for a harder sound this will deliver. It is a solid build, has a catchy paint job. I enjoy it thoroughly!

5 of 5 Peppermint fuzz February 11, 2010

I love fuzz pedals and play many different brands they all have their uses. Recently just purchased a Peppermint Fuzz and a Dark Peppermint fuzz. They pretty much blow away all the mondern fuzz pedals I have owned or reasearced on line. I think Analog.Man is putting out a great product and the price is very reasonable. I have been playing both pedals through a orange OR 50 and its been a lot of fun cant wait to hear them through some other amps.  I do recommend that you purchase the on/off fuzz option. You won't regret it.

5 of 5 Very versatile fuzz September 15, 2008
Reviewer: Lazygun from Falls Church,VAUnited States
First off, Thanks Analog Man!  I have been looking for just the right fuzz, and I have found it.  I have a new band, and I wanted to have a stoner/ metal/ psychedelic sound...And the Peppermint fuzz does the trick for me.  I love the great sensitivity to my guitar volume control.  Using that I can go from full fuzz to a fantastic weak break up fuzz.  The sitar-like sound will be great for some songs I am writing as well.

For guitar nuts like me:  With p-90 pickups (in Gibson SG) the fuzz is fantastic, but it is very difficult to get that high buzz sitar sound, unless you are using a chimey amp, like a Vox, and even then the p-90's are so smoky, hard to get that cutting sitar sound .  However, with my EMG equipped Tele...talk about a  sitar twang from fuzz heaven.

You won't go wrong with the Peppermint Fuzz.

5 of 5 SWEEEEEEEEEEEET!!! June 28, 2008
Reviewer: Fuzzy Brown from London, United Kingdom
The gods of rock were good to me and my pedals arrived 3 hours before I had to head off for a rehearsal.

2 of those hours were consumed by the Peppermint Fuzz. Hitting a bend, hearing it sustain nearly indefinately with  the various harmonics oscilating around each other fighting for dominance. Never has a single note sounded so damn interesting.

Later, at the rehearsal, every song seemed to develop a 10 minute experimental psychedelic solo. My drummer and bassplayer were hanging on every note as intently as I was.

I killed another 3 hours this morning with The Peppermint Fuzz. This pedal will make your time disappear. Time wasted? HELL NO! Every minute you spend with your guitar adds up to sharper chops and more new ideas.

This pedal is inspirational! 5 stars just isn't enough.

5 of 5 Get Fuzzy! May 2, 2008

Another 5 star performance! Super quiet, distinctly fuzzy pedal. Good versatility in tone. Bias knob gives smooth or raw fuzz, fuzz knob takes you from a cleaner fuzz to all out saturated fuzz. Love it. Get one while they last! It will be the last fuzz pedal you'll need!
