Description

Analog Man carries the MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay. These are the brand new version, updated for better modulation control in the summer of 2008.
Features

Analog pedal with time-tested tone and flexible settings in an amazingly compact package.

Late 2018 : 10th Anniversary edition with metallic silver finish available too! ONly difference is the lightweight aluminum housing and color.

The MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay Pedal features a completely analog audio path for the ultimate in rich, warm delay-made possible only by old-school bucket brigade technology. This design boasts 600ms of delay time with optional modulation via a top-mounted switch and a simple, three-knob layout that controls Delay time, Mix (dry/wet blend), and Regen (delay repeats)-all in a pedal no bigger than a Phase 90. In addition, the M169 pedal has two internal trim pots that offer user-adjustable width and rate control of the modulation for even more tonal options. The Carbon Copy effect pedal will take you from crisp bathroom slap echoes to epic, Gilmour-esque delays with a twist of a knob. True hardwire bypass, single 9-volt operation, and stage-ready blue LEDs round out the package.

MXR M169 Carbon Copy Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal Features:

  • Extremely compact
  • 600ms delay time
  • Controls: Mod switch, Delay time, Mix, Regen
  • True bypass (really!)

5 of 5 MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay February 11, 2021
Reviewer: Rakesh Rai from Singapore, Asia Singapore
Cool Blue LED, nice Analog delay. Better than BOSS Digital Delays. The best competitor is Rocktron's Cyborg. I have a huge Rocktron Cyborg Digital Destiny Delay, but that is too bulky for carrying about. So this is just easy to fit anywhere I want. It simply delivers the passionate adequate delays/echos I need at the end of my loop chain. MXR Carbon Copy can emulate a little tape echo-like sound if you know where to set the knobs.

5 of 5 Best Darn Analog Delay Unit On The Market August 12, 2008
Reviewer: William Rosser from So. Hamilton, MA United States
When I saw the MXR carbon copy analog delay, I was initially skeptical about the quality of the unit due to the fact that MXR pedals in recent years have been lacking in quality control (new phase 90's other than the vintage reissue version are garbage) but the quality of the pedal far exceeds that of Maxon or Ibanez or (dare I say) the Boss DM-2 or DM-3 and its no bigger than a deck of cards. This pedal has surprisingly long delay times and the self oscillation is quite easy to sustain and control (many new analog delays have an el cheapo feedback circuit that poops out on you when trying to self oscillate for more than a split second whereas this can be made to sound like a theremin )
