5 of 5 Love my Boss Mods: OD-3 & TR-2 November 25, 2025

I think the Boss OD-3 is one the best overdrive pedals on the market.  I always have one on my board.  So when I asked AnalogMan mod it, my favorite pedal got better!!!  Its still transparent and responsive to your level of playing attack.  It has more grit and sounds more like a tube amp than ever before.  Pair it with a AnalogMan TR-2 and it sounds like I'm playing a vintage '65 Deluxe Reverb.

If you're on the fence about submitting your pedal for an AnalogMan upgrade, do it!  The end result is better than any Boss WazaCraft pedal out there.  I have a BD-2 submitted as of this post and plan on sending in my DS-1 and SD-1 in the new year.

Boss GE-7/TR-2 mods... so far :)

If you are wondering, "should I....." STOP thinking!.. Just DO IT already. You are worth it. Your music is WORTH IT. I purchased my first ANALOGMAN modded GE-7, and was absolutely blown away by the quality and tone. I'm sending out two more GE-7's to get modded as I write this review! I use mine to EQ electric pianos and Hammond organs prior to effects, and it's like purchasing an entirely different keyboard every time I adjust the EQ!! all while remaining whisper quiet (absolutely zero added noise). I also had a TR-2 modded and it's now whisper quiet and the tone/adjustments make this one of my absolute favorite trem pedals for electric pianos (especially adding trem to a stage Rhodes!! or have a Bassman that has dreams of becoming a Twin?... JUST do it.).... long story short. This is a BARGAIN! you will love it. Top notch work, fast turn-around, Analogman is a class act all the way. Cheers!!

Got the Silver Mod for a Boss SD-1 I had laying around...wow! This is a great mod on this pedal it really surprised me how great it sounds...although every mod I have gotten from Mike has been stellar, got the push/pull so I have the Ibanez and Boss clipping which really makes it versatile especially when I stack into another pedal like either side of my KOT then switch the clipping mode on the SD-1...it's great super stoked on this pedal!
