Unmistakable Jimi voodoo.

The Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face is a meticulously faithful reproduction of the 1969-70's Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face that Jimi used on classic albums like Band of Gypsys. Dunlop's engineering department examined hoards of vintage Fuzz Faces, honing in on a few units that possessed unmistakable Jimi voodoo.

The Hendrix Fuzz Face is built around the toneful BC108 silicon transistor. It is authentic in every detail a hand wired brown circuit board with no solder mask and circuitry carefully matched to the original specs. The look is 100% accurate too that groovy circular chassis with tooled clones of the original Fuzz Face knobs in the rare and vintage turquoise hammertone finish.

Hendrix was the master of fuzz an artist with many subtle shadings at his command. His love affair with the legendary Fuzz Face pedal began in the early days of the Experience and continued to evolve throughout his blazing career.

A truly playable collectable for any Hendrix or Fuzz Face fanatic.

Dunlop JH-F1 Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face Pedal Features:

  • BC-108 silicon transistor
  • Hand wired circuit board
  • Original Fuzz Face knobs
  • Turquoise hammertone finish

How do these compare to our BC108 Sunface?
The circuits are basically the same but the tuning is a little different. These seem to have lower gain transistors so they are not as fuzzy as the sunface. The BC108 sunface is also brighter. This Fuzz Face sounds really nice, quite warm for silicon and gets pretty clean too without getting brittle. It's a fine pedal if you want an original looking silicon Fuzz Face that sounds great.

This has a good tone-full fuzz. It has a great decay if you let the note fade, which is cool. At full guitar volume, and the FF volume @ noon, and the fuzz @ max, there is some pretty decent sustain to be had. The fuzz is a tad thin on the higher strings, sounds more like a TS pedal, but with the lower strings you get a pretty well balanced fuzz tone with plenty of pleasant, musical buzz. I found if feed back pretty good too, which is a plus. :^) It also has adjustment pots under the board for both transistors so you can dial in your particular fuzz tone, but be careful, the adjustment pots are really delicate.

Definitely a good fuzz to have around if you're a Fuzz face fan... Like me! :^D
