I own a BC 183 and a LG fuzz face   they sound excellent with a Stratocaster guitar...   this one is excellent and different...   nice and "dark" with Les Paul or any HB equipped guitar...  Love it!

5 of 5 WOW WOW WOW March 24, 2018
Reviewer: Mark Micciulla from Rockfall, CT United States
honestly blown away by this pedal. Through the clean channel of my Marshall it sounds amazing . Can go from AC/DC crunch to sputtering fuzz all with your guitars volume knob.
I’m already saving for another one so I’ll have a backup!

5 of 5 Astrotone, a fuzz with a soul May 23, 2016
Reviewer: Giorgio Tricarico from Helsinki, Uusimaa Finland
Playing for more than 30 years, I must tell that this Astrotone is the best pedal l have ever had.
I felt it immediately, purely delivering beautiful tones in all its fuzz-range. Amazing.
The international reputation of the quality of analogman pedals is absolutely deserved.
This pedal has a soul, and it interacted immediately with mine.

I am grateful to you, guys.

I'm not much for giving reviews but this Astrotone and Mike deserve full credit..

I use SSS American Standard/deluxe Strats and teles, 68' Princeton Reverb/64' Jensen C10NS and a 68' Custom Princeton Reverb/Eminence 10" Copperhead.

I've been chasing a Fuzz to compliment classic rock and blues..The last few months, I've tested every Fuzz pedal I could get my hands on .. 3 Fuzz faces,  4 muffs, EH Satisfaction, Mooer Grey Faze..

NOTHING come close to cutting through the mix of full band.. No note separation, sad muddy tone.. honestly felt ashamed to blanket my tone with this garbage..

I read about Analogman Mike and the  Astrotone.. had to try one..

Impressive tone and looks.. Dial the fuzz back for gorgeous overdrive, crank fuzz and string definition and clarity with ample fuzz, put a huge smile on my face.. I adjusted pickup and pole piece heights to taste and this pedal Far exceeded expectations..

Don't hesitate or look any further than the Astrotone..

5 of 5 Excellent Pedal! February 6, 2015
Reviewer: Ryan from Oceanside, CA United States
I am really happy with my decision to go with the astrotone. This pedal has an amazing sound. As I suspected it's much better suited for my ac15 than my '69. The harmonic overtones are rich and tasty. The tone knob makes it very versatile and I love the way it fattens up as I dial it back. So far I've been liking the tone at about 2-3 o'clock, fuzz almost dimed, and using guitar volume to control the gain. Cleans up just as nicely as the 69, but I think I like the sound of this better.  A lot of people are calling this an 'overdrive' which I think is really selling it short. It is definitely a fuzz - a versatile and great sounding one at that. Just the right amount of gain for me, and the crunchy, chewy texture just make me want to play for hours. While it can be thin with the tone knob dimed, it gets positively ballsy as I roll it back some, reminds me of the 69, yet so much more versatile, so many more shades to work with. I could see this replacing the 69 for me...

5 of 5 Lovin me some Astro Tone December 31, 2014
Reviewer: Doug C from Evergreeen, CO United States
Of all the pedals I own, this pedal immediately became one of my 2 go-to must haves.  The 2 guitars I play the most are a Les Paul and a Gretsch 6122 Hollowbody running into a 80's Fender Super Champ or a Vox AC15hw1. Fuzz can be tricky with those guitar/amp combos, especially playing live.  This pedal sounds really unique and different depending on what guitar/amp you're using but I've found some of the best tones I've heard using this pedal, and it works better than most fuzzes if you've already got a little heat on your base tone.  The other day I plugged a Tele into this into the Fender, and it was awesome in a whole different way.  The Tele was a little cleaner and I ran it into a Timmy(my other go to) to give it a little more heat and the sound that was coming out of my amp was like angels singing.  Super frickin' awesome pedal!

5 of 5 Astro Man out of this Universe! March 30, 2014
Reviewer: Jovy from Vienna, VA United States
I've been trying to find a silicon transistor to compliment my Sun Face NKT-275. I've tried different clones, name brand, and boutique pedals. (Read Peppermint Fuzz Review) This is really an AMAZING Fuzz. It's perfect. It cut very well to live, and studio sessions. And it really does compliment other pedals and make them better! It is not a "balls to the wall fuzz, "but it is a distorted fuzz that is not too crazy or to soft. I hope that Analogman Astro Tone Fuzz does not go away either. This is such a great fuzz to own, and will be part of my rig for a very long time.

5 of 5 Astro Tone!!! February 21, 2014
Reviewer: Matt from MN United States
Many fuzz pedals overpower your tone, have too much distortion, and lack dynamics and clean up.  I don't have any of these problems with the Astro Tone!  It blends into my sound and ENHANCES my tone!  I like how the controls are set up.  Many pedals try to give too much volume.  If you want a slight boost, for many pedals that setting is at 9 o'clock, making most of the range useless.  Worse yet, a slight bump of the dial can have an extreme effect on your volume.  Unity volume on the Astro Tone is about noon, making it easy to dial in.  Also, unlike many other pedals, the fuzz knob doesn't need to be dimed to sound good.  I like it cranked up to about 3 o'clock, but I haven't found a bad setting.  The tone control is different and more subtle from most other pedals.  I appreciate this a lot, since many fuzz pedals go from muddy to tinny and bright without much in between, making a good sound difficult to dial in.  Not so with the Astro Tone!  Easy to dial in a great sound!

5 of 5 Astro Tone Fuzz January 4, 2014
Reviewer: Analog Fan from Vineland, NJ United States
The more I play through the Astro Tone the more I like it!

Second in my chain between a boost and a distortion pedal with other effects coming after, and absolutely no compatibility issues.  Playing into a clean Fender amp with Strat and Les, and sounds great with both.
