5 of 5 Nice work Mike January 5, 2013
Reviewer: william diffee from montreal, QC Canada
I am very impressed with the Astro Tone. It's a very versatile pedal cable of great rhythm and lead tones. It plays well with Tube Screamers and other distortions as well.
It is great to see someone come up with New ideas that really work, not just a clone for clones sake.
I have lots of fuzzes, and this one impresses me as much, or more, than any of them. This is one pedal that I will not be trading or selling for sure.
Great Work!

5 of 5 Fuzzy usable tones. November 4, 2011
Reviewer: john beery from wantagh, NY United States
I've had my astrotone for a few weeks now and it's definitely a "go to" pedal. It was not exactly what I was expecting,as the last fuzz pedal I purchased was green and "way huge".This pedal is NOTHING like that one,and that's a good thing. You're going to want to drive this with either a good slightly distorted amps gain channel,or with an overdrive in front of it.The astrotone has a really nice 3-D type of fuzz tone to it,meaning that is is a harmonically rich sounding pedal, that absolutely can(and should)be used with a band. The quality of the electronics can heard loud and clear. To achieve unity volume you need to turn it up a bit (2:00)and I like the fuzz at around 3:00.The tone knob after12:00 starts to thin out the sound a bit as the improved circuit starts to sound like the original Sam Ash pedal. The fuzz can go from overdrive to fuzz/distortion to quite fuzzy when cranked with a slight octave up effect-and it loves my guitar's humbuckers.Very cool indeed.

5 of 5 The Astro, star between fuzz pedals October 25, 2011
Reviewer: Easyrom from Paris, France
Hi Mike,
I've had a few fuzz box and some gave me really great sounds... sometimes.
The Astro Tone actually fits much more my needs and taste and always sounds how I expect it to sound.
The "breaking period" of transistors is not a myth (I admit I was really skeptical about that): my pedal seems to sound even better  now than the very first day.
Good job (again!)

5 of 5 Unique Fuzz October 5, 2011
Reviewer: Nightfur from Los Angeles, CA
I purchased a black Astro Tone recently to use with my trio, Nightfur. I've found that it lives up to its sales pitch; a tighter sounding silicon fuzz that will cut through. Definitely a difference from the other fuzz effects he makes. I can't really compare it to anything - its not a bright and crispy as an OCD and not as fuzzy as a Fuzz Face. Its really opens up with an articulated sound on chords, but I've noticed a sort of "muted" effect on the fuzz when playing lower notes during solos - this may be the product of the transistor break in period. I am very happy with this pedal and its great to have something unique AND usable  in my rig.

5 of 5 Clean OD to Velcro Sputter June 23, 2011
Reviewer: Dan Price from Holt, MI United States
I seriously love this fuzz.  Very nice sounding od sounds with the fuzz turned down.  When you turn it up all the way it starts spitting and sputtering a la St. Vincent.   I'm playing a Tele through a Fargen Dual Classic.  I'm using this for Blues and Indie Rock.   Loving it.

5 of 5 Should be renamed the sick nasty fuzz... June 12, 2011
Reviewer: Richie from Boston, MA
I'm the biggest fuzz fan around but never found one that i could really use all the time...until i got this. The Astro Tone has since become permanent on my pedalboard. Great with PAF's through the Deluxe Reverb but the fizz needs to be tamed just a tad. A TS-9 tames this pedal perfectly through smaller amps and in turn the Astro Tone sweetens up the TS-9. I stack the Astro Tone before a TS-9 (silver mod) when going into a small amp. Stays on most of the time and I use my guitar volume to clean things up, cleans up very nicely. Has great fuzzy overtones and helps bring out some nice ripping harmonics. Sweet pedal, very useable, very stackable, very sick nasty.

5 of 5 Astro Fun!! June 9, 2011
Reviewer: james allen jr from griffin, GA United States
After several weeks of playing through this pedal i just had to write a review on the Astro Tone Fuzz.  The Blues never sounded so good, and classic Rock as well. There is something about the sound of this pedal that is different from any other dirt pedal that i've played. Including Fuzzes. Its transparent and clean, but also very nasty at the same time. Its the only Fuzz that i've had that lets you hear every string resonate from your guitar when playing an open chord. I really don't know how to put it. It must be the Fairchild Trannys in this thing. I love the tone Knob on this thing. I put it in front & After my Analog Man Sun Face for all kinds of Sounds. Played it through my Marshall JTM 45, and i can get Jimi's Rock Me at Monterey Live, Hey Hoe, and lots more. It really nails it!  Its my go to pedal now. Another Great Pedal from the best in the business!  Can't wait to order the Peppermint Fuzz. Thanks A Million Mike!! Keep on Rocking!!

5 of 5 Astro Jizz May 11, 2011
Reviewer: David G from Sydney, NSW Australia
I've just been playing with my AstroTone for two-hours since it arrived in the box. The sound coming from that small, sexy white pedal is something else! A thick, warm wall of fuzziness that isn't in any way overpowering or distorty, almost a clean-fuzziness. It's perfect though and sits well with my other pedals. You get a great amount of control over the sound with the tone knob too... Thank you Mike and the team
