5 of 5 GE-7 mod is next level March 29, 2024
Reviewer: James from Washington, DC
I love the simplicity of the GE-7 but have long been irritated by how noisy it is. I shipped my GE-7 to Analogman on a Friday and received it back in the mail on the next Thursday! Even better, this pedal is phenomenal with very little background noise. I play it in front of my Fender Tweed Champ and I can make my amp sound like practically anything now. Also, I know that XTS creates a competing GE-7 mod where they actually narrow the frequency bands to focus more on mids. But I actually want control over the 100Hz and 200Hz so that I can control the bottom end with more precision, which this Analogman does perfectly. This pedal will never leave my pedalboard and is epic! Thank you, Analogman!

5 of 5 Ridiculously Powerful Tool October 19, 2020

I, like many, was turned onto using the GE-7 by Tom Bukovac.  Analogman's mod is incredible! Operates MUCH more quietly than the unmodded version.  I primarily use it as a sculpted boost for leads, which sounds amazing!  But I have used it to thicken thin sounds, dial out weird/unpleasant frequencies, and to clear up darker pickups.

This has become an irreplaceable part of my rig.  Thanks, Tom! But, more importantly, thank you, Mike!! What an awesome pedal!!

5 of 5 Perfect. July 12, 2020

Analogman GE-7 pro mod is fantastic, it takes an old sleeper pedal and transforms it to a proper work horse. It’s 100% silent and has great headroom while using 18V. Works great for the DG stuff, after a Tube Driver or Cornish pedals. Thanks Mike.

5 of 5 Analogman GE7 November 4, 2019
Reviewer: Dave Miley from Clute, TX United States
This is just what my pedal board needed !  I use it to add girth and clarity or nail the exact over all tone I need on my OD/Distortion pedals as well as just my basic guitar tone going into an amp. It is easy to dial in . Also very  quiet and totally invisible when not engaged . No tone suck at all !  I will be purchasing another in the near future as this is  a "must have " for any of my guitar rigs !

5 of 5 Analogman nailed it with this mod December 23, 2012
Reviewer: R. B. Smith from Denver, CO United States
I received my Boss GE-7 with a pro mod two days ago.  I've been A/Bing against my unmodified GE-7 to be sure what I'm hearing is real.

The only way I can describe the difference is Analogman nailed it with this mod.  I ordered the modded version after struggling with this pedal for over a year.  I'm a bit of an audiophile and I could hear the inherent possibility of what the GE-7 "could" do but couldn't align my suspicion with what it "would" do.  The Analogman mod unlocks the potential of this pedal.

If you don't have this pedal on your board, you should.  Different rooms and different studios will make your guitar, your amp, your pedals, even your entire signal path sound differently.  The GE-7 - with the Analogman mod - allows you tweak your sound to the room or studio's acoustics and truly shine.

Worth every penny and then some.  Nice work, Analogman.  I'm very grateful for what you've brought to my sound.

5 of 5 Improvement of a GE7 modification July 11, 2011
Reviewer: Torben K from Germany
Problems with my stock pedal:
<br> <br>

White noise is very audible if the stock GE7 is put between guitar and plus 15 dB booster.<br><br>Deterioration of the output level below 0 cut the brilliance and the high
frequencies.<br><br>Crackle on the 1st to 5th fret of E and A string and on the entire G string.<br><br>To sum up and to make it short, Analogman's GE-7/Pro EQ modification solved ALL
the reported issues. The pedal is extremely 'quiet' and the positive result is
amazing!<br>A satisfying pedal was turned into a very good and professional
pedal.<br><br>PS: Additionally, I am very fond of the bright green LED…<br><br>

5 of 5 Best EQ pedal out there... August 8, 2010
Reviewer: Jinder from United Kingdom
I first discovered Analogman back in '07 when a guitarist I was collaborating with turned up to the studio with a board featuring a King Of Tone, Beano Boost, Sun Face, Bicomp and several others.

I was blown away by the tone of each pedal, and realised I'd been wasting my time and tone playing stock off-the-shelf mass produced pedals for years.

I'm primarily an acoustic guitarist, but I like to use effects judiciously...not something many people do with acoustic instruments.

I had a stock GE7 at the time, and ordered the GE7/Pro mod to replace it.

The difference is night and day-the /Pro is vastly superior to the stock pedal and is an essential part of my pedalboard...I can't imagine gigging without it.  It adds so much sparkle and breath to my acoustic tone that I've considered buying another one so I can leave this one on all the time, and use the other for a boost for fingerstyle and blues, which is what I primarily use this one for.
