5 of 5 So good, my neighbors had the police come listen! April 10, 2020

It took 5 weeks after my order was placed to ship, and another 6 days to get here, but patience pays off. Both sides are just as good as you would expect. Even after 6 weeks if anticipation, the sound does not disappoint. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who even thinks they might want one,  and I will most likely buy from Analog.Man again.

5 of 5 Fuzz-tastic November 11, 2019
Reviewer: Fern from LOS ANGELES, CA United States
This thing is the real deal! I could not find the right fuzz for my sound until I found the SUNLION. We all know that the  Beano side is awesome, but the Fuzz side is amazing! I did not expect that much output from a fuzz. You will definitely find a place for this on your board! It really adds a certain mojo to your amp. I use a tube-screamer type of drive and I use either side of the Sun Lion as a boost, it depends on my mood. This thing is loud! Do not get to hung up on the Transistors, I have the standard version and this is the best fuzz I have ever played.

5 of 5 SunLion Pedal January 19, 2019
Reviewer: JOHN BELOE from London, Outside US / Canada United Kingdom
Quickly become my most treasured pedal.

I initially got the pedal for the beano. The fuzz was a nice bonus but I didn't think I'd be into it. I couldn't have been more wrong! The fuzz is incredible...exceptionally addictive. Currently I'm running the internal trim pot turned about a third to half down from wide open. It's still a fuzz but it just makes it so usable. And it makes it easier to stack with the beano. Only complaint is that it would be good to have the trim pot on the outside...there are so many flavours in there.

Stacking with the beano, it's pretty cool...makes things kind of wild. In the low setting it sounds just like the fuzz, but more gainy, in the other settings it just adds so much cut.

The beano by itself is awesome. I don't really use the mid much, but the low I use as a full range boost and the high for me turns my fender tweeds into almost a marshall super lead type sound....very paul kossoff.

All in all can't recommend this pedal enough.

5 of 5 My new favorite dirt pedal September 15, 2014
Reviewer: Jonathan from Manorville, NY United States
Wow.  The responsiveness of this fuzz to my finger and pick technique (not to mention the kaleidoscope of tones available with even the slightest rolling back of the volume pot) is really unbelievable.  The nuance that this pedal captures (especially with the boost enabled) is not for the faint-of-technique, but all the reward you could ask for is provided in the tone and shape of this sound.  Amazing, I've never owned a pedal exactly like it.  I can't wait for my name to come up on the KoT list!  Thanks, you rock!

5 of 5 Amazing pedal! March 7, 2013

Great pedal! The SunFace side is fat, warm, defined, and it cleans up nicely. The Beano side is total classic rock. Definitely one of the best pedals I have ever purchased.

5 of 5 Sun Lion Best Pedal Ever! January 28, 2013
Reviewer: Uncle Donald from San Jose, CA United States
This is the best pedal ever. I went to order a Beano boost. In viewing the Analog.Man site I decided to add some fuzz. I sent Mike some questions about transistors. He suggested I go with the standard model. What  a breath of fresh air, suggesting what was less expensive, verses taking an opportunity to gouge you for more money. The boost side was Everything I had hoped for and More. The fuzz side blew me away. Control of the fuzz with my volume pot makes it usable for a bunch of songs. Sometimes I use an Emma DiscumBoBulator and this is the first pedal I've been able to put in front of it without messing with the settings. Analog.Man's pedals are amazing. More amazing is how they do business. Using every opportunity to give you great advise and great products, (verses trying to gouge you for more money), which seems to be norm in today's business. Analog.Man is a breath of fresh air in a sea of scammers and charlatans.

5 of 5 Second time around November 4, 2011
Reviewer: Lee McAlister from Wrightwood, CA United States
I purchased the origional Sun Lion shortly after it came out and wound up selling it because it didnt seem to fit my needs.  I am not sure what the difference is this time, other than my equipment has evolved, but this re-issue sounds fantastic with my current rig.  I currently play a LP custum or PRS Single cut tremelo through a Dr Z route 66.  I also use a Weber Mass attenuator to keep things in control given the dr z is loud as hell.  The sun lion works and sounds great with this setup.  The boost has replaced my zvex SHO and the fuzz side adds as much or as little fuzz as I want.  The lion is very responsive to the guitars volume pot which I love.  This is the only pedal I am using at this time but I do plan to purchase an Astro Tone sometime soon.  I have owned most of analogman's stuff at one point or another and I dont think there are any better built or sounding pedals available.  I have owned Pete Cornish, Landgraff, Klon, Tim, Zvex, ect.
The list goes on and on.

5 of 5 Believe the hype. September 5, 2011
Reviewer: Eric Craig from Venice, CA United States
With all the hype I've read on this pedal over the years I was hoping for WOW, but I've been around a little, owned a ton of gear in my life and am generally not easily blown away. I chose the high gain NKT275's. SG into a Vox AC15 with only the Sun Lion. Fuzz all the way down and the volume to noon. Before I heard the fuzz I just wanted to hear the circuit "clean". Without the fuzz the pedal has a great clarity, sparkle and bounce to it as Analogman pedals seem to have. I then started to engage the fuzz. Noon, then 3, then all the way up. Long story short...this is no joke the best sounding pedal I have ever owned. The texture of the fuzz, creamy, warm, round sustain coming out of this box is beyond. I won't even go on about the Beano side, and blending the two sides together. The Beano rules. The combo of them is ridiculous. Simply speaking, a stunning pedal. The hype on this pedal is REAL. Thank you Mike and all the shop for crafting fine, fine boxes. Seriously. Eric

5 of 5 Sun Lion = pure tits-money September 3, 2011
Reviewer: Richie from Boston, MA
The golden age of music called, and it wants it's tone back. This is THE pedal for loud, organic, vintage enhancement. Anyone who wants to REALLY hear their favorite guitar into their favorite amp NEEDS to do so with a Sun Lion. Plug in your favorite guitar (singles/humbuckers), set the Sun to noon, Lion knobs to 3 o'clock (or higher), fine tune w/ the Sun Dial, and play with the guitar's volume knob. Once you get a feel for the way it cleans up try the Sun's toggle switch in the Low and Mid position, Mid being my favorite position. You'll soon find a LOT of vintage correct tones coming from this little gold box, it's somewhat magical. I decided to order my Sun Lion with the 1968 TI transistor and on/off volume pot option, couldn't be happier with the amount of gain, sweetness, and overall tone. If I had to chose ONE pedal it would be this, simply put, the Sun Lion is pure tits-money.
