Great for vintage guitar strap locks when you don't want to modify the guitar by putting on modern (ugly) strap locks.



For pedal use, to keep your knob settings from getting changed accidentally. This happens a lot when putting your pedalboard in it's case. Or when you accidentally touch a knob with your foot while switching a pedal. it's especially helpful for people who don't have a pedalboard but carry pedals in a bag, the knobs will always get moved.

Directions

1) remove the knob (usually a small set screw, opposite the mark on the knob)

2) Push the rubber washer down on the pot shaft, all the way down and try to get the hole to stretch over the pot threads if there are any threads sticking up.

3) Put the knob on, positioned correctly, then while pushing down fairly hard, tighten the set screw. If the knob turns too easily, try again without pushing down so hard. If the knob is too stiff, push down less hard.
